I enjoyed a busy day of jazz yesterday - July 7, 2015

I helped kick off the inauguration of the College Place Middle Jazz Colony along with Steve Treseler and assistants Max Bennett and Luis Ross.

I then ran over to the Edmonds-Woodway Jazz Colony to check in. Steve Treseler, Alex Dugdale, Michael Glynn ran the show.

Then I headed to Seattle to play some big band with Jay Thomas and the Usual Suspects Big Band.  Players included Greg Williamson on drums, Paul Gabrielson, John Hansen on piano, saxes were Jay Thomas, Adam Notebaum, Jory Tindall, Nathaniel Schleimer and Dan Wickham. Trombones included Greg Schroeder, Ryan Shepard, Randell Runback, and Chad Kirby. Trumpets included myself, Mike Van Bebber and Denis Haldane.

Summer 2015 Music Activities

I'm getting excited to be joining the faculty of the Centrum Jazz Port Townsend Camp as Educator Track facilitator.

Also our summer jazz workshop the Edmonds-Woodway Jazz Colony is up and running again thanks to Pete Bennett and a generous grant from the Hazel Miller Foundation. Especially great to have Steve Treseler, Alex Dugdale and Michael Glynn as workshop instructors.

I'm also happy to be taking an online class learning to be more fluent in Finale notation program.

I hope you're having a restful but productive summer.
